Caledonia tartan
The tartan
Caledonia is a fashion tartan designed around 1800 by Wilsons of Bannuckburn as William Wilsons No. 155.
Despite it being a very nice looking tartan, and without a clan connection, it obviously is not very much in demand. This makes a kilt in this tartan more expensive than had it been in one of the more popular ones. Even a 5-yard kilt may be at least £400.
The kilt
The kilt shown on this page is a Heritage of Scotland James Morrison made to measure 5-yard kilt in leightweight PV from Marton Mills.
