5.11 Tactical Combat kilt sand
The kilt
A utility kilt made by American company 5.11 Tactical.
The kilt is available in various waist sizes, but the length is standard 24". Like with trousers, the actual waistline is not quite correct. Unless you plan gaining weight, go one size down.
5.11 has subsidiaries in Europe and a warehouse in Sweden. Therefore, EU customers can have the kilt without any taxes. What comes on top is only a very low shipment cost.
The kilt has a mix of knife pleats and box pleats, making it from behind look non-pleated and thereby not very kilt-like. A skirt rather than a kilt then? I don't know, really. But why not just accept the positioning of the manufacturer and call it a kilt? Also, at the hemline it measures over three yards, securing non-restrictive moving around like any other kilt/type of kilt.
And if a skirt? No problem with me. It is not the clothing that defines a man – or a woman. If it was, we had hardly any women left in the world!
